Program Goals & Objectives

Kids Care is an educational day care center providing quality care for children ages six weeks to 12 years old. We use hands on approach to explore different topics and themes in our curriculum. Curriculum content from various disciplines, such as math, science or social studies is integrated through themes, projects, play and other learning experiences, so children develop an understanding of concepts and make connections across disciplines. Children are encouraged to be active learners by observing, comparing, questioning and problem solving.

The center recognizes that each child is a unique individual and the center's program will build on each child's own needs, interests and capabilities. Our staff provides a nurturing, caring environment for children to develop a positive self-image and to learn to express their feelings in an appropriate manner. Our classrooms function as caring communities where each child can feel a sense of belonging and responsibility within the group.

Alongside the Office of Early Childhood, our program is eager to see your child succeed, support their developments and milestones, as well as work together with support from families, local public schools and even early intervention programs.

Goals:

-Provide a safe and healthy environment for learning and to ensure the child's first school experience is a happy and positive one.

-Provide a creative environment for the sequential development of a child intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.

-Assist a child in developing a positive self-image.

-Provide opportunities for being with other children in a setting conducive to the development of wholesome relationships and acceptable outlet of feelings.

-Continue the process of learning and decision making by providing a variety of activities to develop special interests
